What is the SAN-POU?

Prologue

                 This booklet will be of help for the instructor who has to make Newcomer 
              understand well and practice SAN-POU soon after he has been initiated of 
              SAN-POU in the ceremony.
The shorter the task of the instructor, the better. 
              Because he should have done with his task while the Lamps of TEN-DAN are 
              lighting and he must make Gods keep waiting meanwhile, so that he dare not 
              waste the time on his duty. He had better supplement the necessary 
              explanation in detail later if he and the Newcomer can afford the time.

             The SAM-POU is composed of the three treasures. You have been initiated 
             into them by our Teacher, the 18th Master YUMI-NAGA SO through the body of 
             a TEN-DEN SHI with benevolent Godfs mercy.

             This SAM-POU are the entirely same treasures which are initiated those 
             Saints (Buddha, Goddess of Mercy etc.) who lived in ancient age and served 
             out not less than 10 years ascetic practices.

             From now whenever and wherever you may happen to meet any mortal 
             accident or disaster, a number of powerful Gods come to rescue you at the 
             moment when you use SAM-POU.

            You must never forget each of them belongs under so much sever secrecy 
             that you are strictly prohibited to reveal it to any others, and we cannot show 
             the details here. If one dares to show any of them concretely, spirits and 
             ghosts should certainly be in big confusion as soon as they could see or hear 
             it, and Heaven would sure seriously punish him.

             So we are going to mention here about the outline and concept of SAN-POU 
             which shall be needed in eexplanation and practice of SAN-POUf after Initiation 
             ceremony. People should make it a rule to tell about and practice SAM-POU 
             soon after Initiation ceremony while Lamps of the TEN-DAN are still kept 
             lighting as follow. They arec
 

 GOU-DOU: Anyone shall neither make GOU-DOU to oneself  
                    nor show it others.
 

             GOU-DOU is a combination of hands formed by crossing 10 fingers in special 
             way in order to show God g I am one of your Children h. Out-look of GOU-DOU 
             in the White-generation is a symbol of lotus rhizome (root) while in the 
             Blue-generation was its a leaf expressed single hand and in the 
             Red-generation was its a flower (bud) expressed with folded palms. When 
             making of GOU-DOU is needed, man must keep it on his chest chanting 
             KOU-KETSU.

             Although we might make GOU-DOU in front of some TEN-DAN while three 
             Lamps are lighting, as a rule we are rigidly forbidden to make it, unless we are 
             practicing SAN-POU with Newcomers in these chance of the Initiation 
             ceremony. Usually we are composing such a hands formation as making fist 
             of right palm wrapped with left palm instead of using GOU-DOU whenever we 
             are in front of TEN-DAN.

             As regards GOU-DOU, it has a secret meaning of eChildf (of RAUM) the fact that 
             a hand has 12 folds (lines) in four fingers (each has 3 folds) except thumb. 
             Many of Chinese characters are hieroglyphic consisted of more than two 
             parts. In Chinese-Japanese dictionary we can find a word of Child composed 
             of the first and the last character assigned to twelve specified letters, which 
             are usually applied to both time and space such as hours, days, months and 
             years or directions and so forth. So that the formation of GOU-DOU must be a 
             symbolic sign of Child (of RAUM).

KOU-KETSU: Any one shall neither chant nor write them.   
 
            This is a short incantation consist of 5 words which nobody is allowed to 
             write with any visible expressions according to voices it might sound. Man 
             can chant KOU-KETSU with making GOU-DOU in case of an emergency of his 
             lifec in such as mortal case as c to be confined in a room on some higher 
             stairs of a hotel surrounded by fire, or in case of flight accident to be 
             inevitable smashup with mountain come into sight.   Although in such 
             emergent situation nobody can afford to use SAN-POU, but he needs not 
             worry about. Even if a man might either forget or have no time to use one or 
             two out of SAN-POU mentioned above entirely, the most important and 
             essential SAN-POU, that is, GEN-KAN shall never return to the former closed 
             state, so he will never fail to be saved.

 GEN-KAN: Anybody shall never point to the place of it.  
            
This is the pith and marrow of SAN-POU, the object of TOKU-DOU c the 
             highest secret eLawf of Heaven. The initiation of this secret eLawf is the very 
             eRight Lawf that is called eLaw of IS-SHI KAN-TENf correctly in full name, which 
             we are not permitted to explain furthermore in detail.

             Any one could hardly guess correctly what is it, where is it, how is the 
             material meaning or how does it work. No one can ever find the word 
             eGEN-KANf in any Buddhist scriptures although the number of them might be 
             not less than hundred thousand. Nevertheless there are suggested the 
             importance of GEN-KAN using a number of secret words in some scriptures 
             or books written by ancient Saints, no one could have never been aware of it 
             because of their so strange expression such as egate of dark maref, ea square 
             inch of landf or ecrossf. To tell the truth, the cross-point should have just met 
             the place in front of the GEN-KAN when a Christian cross himself, he used to 
             slide its position to the place far from GEN-KAN deliberately (but 
             unconsciously). As the same thing we can find a small mark in the brow of 
             Buddhafs statue and Hindu as well.

             In Japanese, there are some expressions known which might suggest the 
             eentrancef of GEN-KAN. They are eGEN-NOU BI-CHOKUf (vertical to nose, with 
             eyes across), eTACHI-BANA NO ODOf (small door, vertical to nose) and so on. 
             Otherwise one can find everywhere in front of Japanese shrine at least one 
             eTORI-If, a sort of gate installed a small name-plate at the center of two 
             crossbars fixed upon between two poles, which might suggest where 
             GEN-KAN is.

 God presented us a wonderful thesis about GEN-KAN.

           For a captious person about theory, it must be happy to hear that we have 
           been presented an excellent ultra-scientific thesis from our Teacher in 1979 
           to talk about GEN-KAN. The essential part is as following.

 
           In physical space, energy is as large as multiplication of mass number by 
           square of a constant, which has big number of vibrations (
E=MC**2).    

           Although the quality of soul can not be explained in material point of view 
           because it must be all in one, supposing that there were hypothetical space 
           as extension of physical one in the world, I could develop my idea as 
           following.

           The shortest soul wave which has normally united number of width under the 
            condition without disturbed movements come from avarice-anger-passion, it 
            must show a pure situation, and its enormous number of vibrations are the 
            appearance of a pure thought so that it comes to get strong energy. On the 
            contrary, soul wave which has wider width is the proof of a rougher one and 
            it is impossible to pass through tiny hole so that it is inevitable to go out 
            through bigger holes of SHI-MON eeyes, ears, nose and mouthf and to go 
            downward world of SHI-SHOU or lower ROKU-DOU world because of its poor 
            number of vibration.

            The soul which has been delicately refined keep its narrow width of wave as 
            constant so that it will be able to get out through GEN-KAN the most difficult 
            to pass, and to climb up to the top of Heaven at once with the sharpest 
            ultra-high speed. This miracle shall be played depending upon the fact that 
            the bigger the mass of a material, the bigger the energy is gotten just the 
            same even the minimum atom might reveal unimaginable destructive power 
            under constant velocity of light. The soul wave which has been refined in 
            onefs GEN-KAN will get the density and consistency of mass which shall be 
            condensed to abnormal level owing to both inner and outer pious deeds (*1) 
            he has made. The moment the soul come out of GEN-KAN, it gains great 
            amount of energy and increasing brightness and it can move into the highest 
            Heaven in an instant. It has been the biggest real scientific task of ascetic 
            how to know the method to achieve increase the spiritual mass.

            However strong light will be weakened if it were diffused, on the contrary 
            however weak light will be strengthened if it were concentrated. So that if 
            only the egate of dark maref might be opened, such a miracle will happen at 
            the wave motion point that the commonest light of soul may show big  
         
   explosive power like nuclear reaction which let it climb up at once. One ma
            call this phenomenon a religious open-mind (or spiritual eyes opening) 
            which is the reason why is the Initiation needed and it will be the turning 
            point if one get it or not that he shall be saved or not and able to realize the 
            truth or not. 
        
           
Ancient Saints and men of wisdom were eager for this point (GEN-KAN) 
            where the soul should be condensed. Either message or instruction from the 
            Heaven has been sent through this point.

               As for the soul, anybody can never have the centrifugal velocity enough to 
               be free from restraint of the reincarnation in SAN-KAI and acquire the 
               coherent light capable of Ascension without getting Initiation from the 
               Master. Now you ought to regard the Initiation from the Master as seriously 
               inevitable to humankind. It goes without saying that essentially soul can 
               neither tell anything with words nor show anything with figures. It must be 
               the wave motion without dimension, which has no restraint of both time 
              and space so that it can see eternity in a moment and exist anywhere in the 
               space at the same time. Neither structural formula nor diagram can exactly 
               define the motion of soul wave.

              Essentially human thought, reason, recognition, feeling, perception, 
              practice and so forth are induced in non-physical world. Anybody can live 
              in mathematical time and space neither. Real self-expression does not exist 
              in both time and space. Time and space exist in real self-expression. Nature               exists in mind not that mind exists in Nature. It is far beyond of man power 
              and impossible for man to give the existence to some geometry. It has been 
              no use trying with human intelligence to prove the real existence of any 
              physical phenomena depending upon the natural science, theoretical 
              physics and so forth. Above efforts never have achieved aims at all 
              nevertheless day and night studies and researches.
Every appearance in 
             material world is given their existence by indiscriminate real wisdom of  
           
RAUMfs great Thought.
RAUM as the great Soul reveals time and 
             transcends them so as to extend infinitely and eternally. So it will be evident 
             hat there can never be any other means found to understand and elucidate 
             the real existences and beings without burying oneself in absorbing stage 
             of unity with RAUM.

            The soul as essential part of man has two faces, one is absolute RAUM itself, 
            the other is individual public, which are inseparably bound up each other 
            and become to be the core of human being. So the soul world is out of the 
            sphere where both mathematics and physics are applicable. According to 
            common sense, any material should keep natural law and never break it, but 
            while it is under the control of some TEN-DOU JIN who has obtained super 
            natural power it will be sure brought into action as he wishes.
The enormous 
            power of wisdom as a part of the great Soul RAUM influences manfs mind, 
            which consists of wisdom-passion-will so that the manfs mind can be 
            bestowed new ability to move every material as if the former were lord and 
            the latter, were his servant.
It is the evident character of recent humankind 
            that they might be further and further going away from the truth disregarding 
            the wisdom and sense of God. It may be called the wisdom of discretion such  
           
as reckless one as a man insists that material being must be real existence. 
            And it might be called the wisdom of vulgarity such as evil one as a man 
            attaches himself to material. Both wisdom cause the character mentioned 
            above.

         Scientific technology has made so rapid progress as to discover and make 
            clear with the extended observation of physical eyes the physical phenomena 
            that an elementary particle can call countless electrons with extreme velocity 
            in an instant and disappear and create something others. One might take an 
            elementary particle for a material existence because its essence will reveal 
            itself as a succession of rapid edeath and birthf just as a man might have an 
            illusion about taking the succession of electric lightfs eon and offf for a real 
            image. There is nothing more than a physical sphere, which has a slight 
            stability. The long since established theory such as eMaterials should be 
            natural and eternalf has been upset radically.

             eNothing could be constantf, ePhenomena should be Nothingf these will of 
             wisdom left by eastern Saint in ancient age (*2) has been proved to be true by 
             recent European Academy. The time has come when Humankind with their 
             open spiritual eyes to realize the fact that natural phenomena are no more 
             than illusions and should turn their mind to immaterial sprit and soul world. 
             But where elementary particles had come from before they were born and 
             where they will go away? And where a man ca emass of cells consisted of 
             elementary particlesf was born from and go away after he died? These 
             questions do not belong under the category, which could be resolved by any 
             material idea. No one can observe the miracles to create Something from 
             Nothing in anywhere out of ultra-micro world. However one will research 
             natural science and extend his conception system, it might be not the moon 
             itself but the finger to indicate it. A man cannot so much as create even the 
             lowest dimensional unicellular being c as the foundation of living power. A 
             man is on the step of real ignorance never aware of ignorance as ignorance. 
             He ought to comprehend with spiritual eyes and inspiration the exquisite 
             divine achievements of excellent Creator RAUM as great Nature modestly and 
              respectfully.

             Before phenomenon there is Energy, before Energy there is Reason. And 
             behind Reason there is RAUM. There is mind above body, before the former 
             there is wisdom, much before is One ... RAUM. RAUM is the source of soul and 
             material and object, which are the Idea of goodness and the Logos (Way) as 
             origin.

             There is skin on the surface of a man. Flesh is under it. Get rid of it, and reveal 
             bones. There is marrow inside of bones, which is indispensable to onefs life. If 
             it dries one may breathe his last. If it increases one may be in full vigor. Thing 
             will be skin, while soul will be marrow. Religion might be skin, while TEN-DOU 
             might be marrow. Self should be skin, while RAUM should be marrow. Get the 
           
Way of marrow, and absorb the soul produced as One once again as One. That 
             is to say, let Initiation of Right be true scripture of ultra-marrow. Then you will 
             be never fail to realize universal reality thoroughly and able to see through the 
             essence of human nature.

                 (*1)  both inner and outer pious deeds: So-called inner deeds are SHU-GEN
                        and KEN-SAN, others are DEN-DOU (mission of the Way to  
                        Humankind) and KU-YOU (memorial service for sprits and ghosts). 

                
(*2) Japanese famous priest, the founder of Buddhism SHIN-GON  
                        SHUU, called Master KOU-BOU or KUU-KAI.

 

Epilogue

                There are big three rules in GYOU-DOU (training of mind) each of them should 
                be inevitable to all Trainees (GYOU-JA). They are SHU-GEN, KEN-SAN and 
                DEN-DOU (in common meaning). SHU-GEN is the most important training 
                among them and gives others their steady foundations (as for other training, 
                cf. eTEN-DOU from A to Zf).

                The brief expression of this word SHU-GEN is to keep onefs mind on GEN-KAN. 
                It must be a kind of meditation such as ZA-ZEN or Yoga as to concentrate onefs 
                mind in AJUNA-CHAKURA. No one could practice any SHU-GEN at all unless his 
                GEN-KAN would be opened. If only some one would have his GEN-KAN opened 
                and concentrate his mind to it, he will never fail to execute SHU-GEN at once 
                whatever the manner of meditation he might choose. 

                Although the ideal position to be kept at SHU-GEN is told just like a posture 
                struck for ZA-ZEN, there is no restriction of the position for SHU-GEN as far as 
                one may concentrate his mind to GEN-KAN. For example, if a woman 
                concentrates her mind on the tip of kitchen knife while she is cutting bread into 
                slices, she must be exercising SHU-GEN. If a man happens to have no time for 
                SHU-GEN some day, he may as well go to bed executing SHU-GEN in a lying 
                position. Usually one needs not pay more than five minutes for SHU-GEN each 
                time.

              
SHU-GEN aims to assimilate KI into onefs body and let it flow round inside of 
               body along the correct line so that it could clean up his spirit and soul. KI will 
               be taken in body through GEN-KAN and come down    along the front line of 
               connection to the bottom of body and go up along the behind line to the top of 
               head once and then return to normal circulation. In case of any other practice 
               of KI such as the physical exercise generally called as KI-KOU, it would be 
               taken in through the CHAKURA positioned at the bottom of body and circulate 
               in it along the line of connection in the entirely reverse order. According to 
               such a practice one could never clean up his soul although he might increase 
               his physical or occult power at best. The worst of it is that onefs brain might 
               burst under excessive charge of KI unless his GEN-KAN might have been 
               opened yet. Thus in the worst case, the explosion might cause onefs death or 
               madness at least. If only the man whose GEN-KAN is opened would have the tip 
               of his tongue touched to the hard palate called TEN-KYOU in Japanese 
               acupuncture, KI could without fail be taken in his body through GEN-KAN and 
               flow round his    body along the normal line. The tongue is the edge of front line 
               of connection, which could receive the KI come from GEN-KAN at TEN-KYOU 
               and induce it to the right line.

               Never forget to have your tip of the tongue touched to the hard palate while 
               SHU-GEN practice. SHU-GEN is the first thing of GYOU-DOU.
