3.  TOKU-DOU REI  

          The  Proprieties of Initiation consist of such  
         
ceremonies as shown below (Flow of ceremonies).
          
                                                                             
BASE  HOME

 

(Beforehand and afterward works)  
  
      (1)  Fill the blank items … name, address, birthday etc. 
             … in application form.  
       
(2)  Draw up the HYOU-MON (Document) according to the application
              form and other information (Chinese calendar and so on).  
       
(3)  Make memorandum (for TEN-DAN) and report (for SOU TEN-DAN)
             of ceremony. 
       
(4)  Make memorandum for newcomer, which TEN-DAN manager 
            should hand him after ceremony. 
       
(5)  Welcome party as far as possible people can afford time and money. 
             Senior had better make much of the time in order to enlighten the new 
            comer on how to win his Way to Heaven thereafter.  

 

(1)   Introduction to TEN-DOU 
 
TOKU-DOU REI begins by introduction to TEN-DOU for SHIN-KYUU-DOU JIN. It makes little difference whether he knew about TEN-DOU well or not. (cf. "TEN-DOU (from A to Z)) in HOME (1)"   

(2)           KEN-KYOU REI                      

 Presentation of Tea and other votive offerings for Gods.  

(3)   SHOU-DAN REI         

 Greeting ceremony. Chanting of SHOU-DAN KYOU (incantation) asking for Gods come down to the TEN-DAN where Initiation ceremony shall be held.

(4)   TEN-DOU REI

      Initiation ceremony. SAN-POU shall be initiated in this ceremony.  

(5)   Explanation and practice of SAN-POU

 While Gods are attending at the TEN-DAN, Lamps shall be kept lighting and a Senior could reveal SAN-POU to new comer by means of explanation and practice of them. (cf. An appendix shown in "TEN-DOU REI")   

(6)   SOU-SHIN REI

 Sending ceremony in order to see off the Gods leaving TEN-DAN.  
 Finally people could put off the light of Lamps and close the ceremonies.
